My health has worsened over the years due to old age; my son and daughter in-law take care of me. My husband died a few years back from natural causes and there is no secure job for my family now. I cannot work because of my vision and unending pain in my legs. The last few years have been very difficult for us as most of my family’s income is spent on my treatment. Being a mother, it has been hard to see the situation my children are going through. Two of my children are still in school and paying their bills have been quite a task.

We live in a small wooden porch in a single room with six members. I have a daughter-in-law and she has been selling kenkey (a local cornmeal dish) for a few years now. My health condition does not allow me to do much to help her. We had rented a place for our business but paying the bills, and managing the transportation has been tough lately. Due to my poor health,their plan to upgrade their kenkey business didn't work out. My son and his wife are now working even harder to fulfil our needs.
