With my husband and two kids, I was living a peaceful life in a financial condition best described as stable. We were dependent on his job to cover the house expenses. As good moments end quickly, our life turned upside down when my husband became addicted to alcohol. He decided to escape the bitterness of reality and to live in his own falsely colorful world. He consequently lost his only source of income and eventually abandoned us. We passed through tough times; only God knows what we had experienced. I was sad for the kids. They spent the days hungry and slept the nights cold and starving.  My heart gets broken every time I see my precious children in this devastating condition. I was powerless, with nothing but my tears and prayers. My children had discontinued school as I couldn't pay the fees. God never forgets his servants as he had sent to us human angels, our neighbors, to care for us from time to time.

The Africa In Me foundation has offered a hand and rescued us. They brought food and clothes to create a life in our home. I was extremely happy to see my children laughing again and be able to return to school. I am interested in working in catering, and I hope I can get donations to fulfill my dream to support my family on my own.
