Who We Are

We are a close-knit, highly diverse community of very passionate volunteers, working around the clock to fulfill our organization's mission.

What We Do

We help improve the lives of less privileged families in Africa. We provide them with food, help them secure jobs, and supply them with capital to start their own small business to generate sustainable income.

Get Involved

Their story

My name is Okaali Lawrence. I am 47 years old. I reside with my family in Eastern region of  Uganda in Bukedea village. I have been living with my family in tough conditions as we have no money.

​

My family is large and that increases my burden to take care of them. My children have chronic diseases and I am struggling to get doctor visits and therapies. Despite being farmers, we strive to conserve our daily necessities of food.

 

In our darkest times, Africa in Me has appeared on the scene and helped my family. It provided us with food and the capital to start my own business. We have been blessed with the support we have given.

 

We stood on our feet again with the help of Africa in Me and looking forward to a more stable condition.

 

I am grateful for their kind touch and assistance.

The Africa in Me has broadened our charitable reach through a collaboration with another non-profit, Cherish A Child

The Africa in Me has broadened our charitable reach through a collaboration with another non-profit, Cherish A Child Foundation, which was founded by a like-minded leader, Salome Delali Atiglah.

 

Rhodline Hamelo, founder of The Africa in Me, and Salome have been collaborating for the last year on ways to work together. In April 2022, the two organizations made a joint clothing donation in Ghana West Africa. 

 

The donations were collected by our organizations in the US and jointly donated to Ghana for the benefit of the street children.

 

The Africa in Me organization looks forward to continuing our collaboration with Cherish A Child on future humanitarian outreach efforts.
