My name is Abokomah Aba. I am 55 years old. I come from Ghana Central Cape Coast from Abiladeze Two Base Village.

I am married and have nine children who live with me at home. Though the older members of the family are farmers, I preferred a different career and chose to trade as my job. I saw it as a chance to increase the income of the family and improve my children's lives. But the winds only blow in ways that ships don't like, and I have not been as successful with it as I would like to be. Now we have financial deficiencies and struggle with the basic needs of food and clothes. I am deaf and unable to speak, and when the diseases combine with poverty, it causes a lot of suffering.

In the midst of all disappointments, The Africa In Me has offered my family a hand of support. They understood our needs and donated food for us. My family is very grateful for their unconditional giving and care.
